Winelands Estate lies dreamily in the gently undulating Berg
River Valley between Franschhoek and Paarl, against a dramatic backdrop
of rugged mountains and manicured vineyards. Situated on a working wine farm, with such distinguished neighbours as
Backsberg, Rupert & Rothchild Vignerons and Vrede en Lust, the beauty
and tranquillity of the setting belies its proximity to major centres
and all they have to offer. With quick and easy access to the N1 highway, Winelands Estate is just 30 minutes from Cape Town, and Stellenbosch,
Paarl and Franschhoek are all only a short scenic drive away.
It is here, surrounded by sun-drenched vineyards and olive groves under
azure skies, where you can make a new beginning, just like the French
Huguenots who first made this valley their home, bringing with them the
particular know-how and style that has become synonymous with the Winelands
of the Cape.
This heritage and savoir-vivre is reflected in the architectural guidelines
of the Estate. Individually designed homes in the Provencal style, characterised
by earthy tones and natural finishes in stone, wood and terracotta, each
set amidst its own vineyard or olive grove, honour the legacy of the French
settlers while at the same time blending beautifully with the natural
surroundings.
The Estate has strict, yet unobtrusive, security measures in place to
ensure your peace of mind. There is a single main entrance with 24-hour
access control and the perimeter is secured by a 2.5m high zoned electric
fence, while roving guards also continuously patrol the Estate.
Winelands Estate is managed by the Home Owners Association,
while all farming operations are run by the Farming Association.
Eighteen multi million rand villas on the estate completed.
The development comprises 34 freehold properties, ranging from 4 000m²
to 1.1 Ha in size, half of which have already been developed. Each property
has spectacular views of the Simonsberg, the Du Toitskloof Mountains and
Berg River Valley all round, as well as a private vineyard or olive grove.
